According to Deadline, the streamer teamed up with CD Projekt Red, the creator of ‘Cyberpunk‘ and ‘The Witcher,’ for the first WitcherCon on Friday, where they revealed new information about the series and video game franchise, including a new look at ‘The Witcher’ Season 2.
This new season will follow Geralt of Rivia (Cavill), who believes Yennefer was killed at the Battle of Sodden and attempts to transport Princess Cirilla to his boyhood home of Kaer Morhen, where he believes she will be safe.
While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans, and demons fight for supremacy on the outside, he must defend the girl from a far more terrible threat: the strange power she possesses within.
The key image expands on a cryptic teaser released by Netflix in June during its Geeked Week event, which promised Freya Allan’s Ciri, strange runes, and more.
Season 2 of ‘The Witcher’ will launch on December 17th. Executive producer and showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich is on board. Executive producers include Tomek Baginski, Jason F. Brown, Sean Daniel, Mike Ostrowski, Steve Gaub, and Jaroslaw Sawko.
